The first hole is a standard par 4 opener to the course; not too tricky but caters more to the long hitters.
Don’t be tempted to cut the corner and go directly at the green as you will be faced with a very tricky approach to a narrow green protected by bunkers.
Watch out for the bunker to the left of fairway, too. It’s pretty easy to avoid but don’t get caught out in the breeze.
The perfect drive will be struck towards the halfway hut.
Hole 2 is a long, straight par 5 with an accurate drive required to thread through the large oaks on either side of the fairway.
Watch out for the two bunkers further up the fairway, just before the green.
The ideal drive will be down the right side of the fairway which opens the green up and avoids challenging green side bunker.
A very tough par 4 that will test your nerve. For the brace take on the very narrow fairway between the mature oak and the lake.
For the less brave don’t lay up too far right as you will be faced with a long carry over the lake.
A very testing green that will make any leaking approach shot run away.
Plenty of room for error if you fail to keep a pretty straight shot.
The fairway bunkers on the right have side have caught many golfers drives and spoilt a good birdie chance.
Be careful not to go too far left as the out of bounds is waiting for a loose drive.
The approach to a narrow elevated green requires good club selection.
Be sure to avoid the bunker straight ahead.
Don’t be deceived by hole 5’s lack of obstacles, this is one tough par 4.
Be careful not to go too far left as the out of bounds is waiting for a loose drive.
The approach to a narrow elevated green requires good club selection.
A very testing par 3 with plenty of room for error that can make or break your day.
Any shot hit short or left will end up in the river Crane.
Plan the strength of your shots well and landing the large green shouldn’t be too hard.
A short par 4 that may tempt the long hitters and a good birdie chance but watch out for the sneaky bunker to the right.
Avoid the other deep challenging bunker on the left side of the green at all costs. Over the green is not an option!
Hole 8 is another deceptive straight.
Take a three on this hole and you’ve done well. Hit the green in one and your troubles just begin.
A small fairway and a very undulating green so try to make sure you are below the hole.
Hole 9 is a slight dog leg par 5 requiring an accurate drive to avoid the fairway bunker from the tee.
Try to get your approach shot to come in from the right to avoid the greenside bunkers.
A putt from above the hole here often ends with a bogey.
A short par 4 with plenty of danger. A loose drive will end wet.
The fairway narrows in the middle to accommodate a nasty left hand bunker.
Long hitters may get close but beware of the encroaching lake that cuts in short of the green.
Great care is needed on this hole as danger looms everywhere.
A dog leg left but go too far left and you ball will find the ditch.
For the higher handicap a lap with your second shot may be a wise option.
Club selection is everything on this hole. If you go long you will face a tricky chip, and short the River Crane is waiting.
Longer hitters could get close but it’s not worth the gamble.
A right hand bunker narrows the fairway and out of bounds down the left has wrecked many a card.
A long iron avoiding the bunker will leave a short iron into a sloping green but keep an eye out for the bunker to the left of the green.
A very challenging par 3 with plenty of obstacles that even the most seasoned golfers have fallen fowl of.
Avoid the water just before the fairway and miss the green to the right unless you want a tough bunker shot.
A long par 5 with a good birdie chance as long as you avoid the four tricky fairway bunkers with your second shot.
The ideal approach is from the left, stay clear of the two steep greenside traps which are sure score card killers.
An uphill long par 4 that will test your nerve from the tee, the perfect drive will carry close to the corner of out of bounds so don’t be too greedy.
Keep an eye out for the bunker to the right, although it’s easily avoidable.
Make sure you have enough club as this hole plays deceptively long.
This par 3 is all downhill and the wind can play a major factor in club selection.
The lower handicapper will run it in but be aware of the tricky greenside bunker which gathers many balls.
A well positioned drive will tempt the longer hitters to go for the green in two.
However, the second shot needs to be an accurate one as there is a ditch and out of bounds down the left as well as a big deep bunker protecting the middle to right side of the green.
Watch out for the narrow fairway.
A very much risk and reward hole.
The brave golfers can opt to take the short cut left of the trees, whilst the safe option would be right.
Leave yourself an uphill putt as you know people are watching from the clubhouse!
